  22. Your drive is probably the Conner CFP1080S. You can find the full
  23. specs on http://www.conner.com/ as a PDF file. You need a Sun or
  24. Windows machine to print it/convert it to PostScript (55 pages!).

  26. I'm using the same drive with no trouble, except then for those
  27. mentioned in another post from me ("MultiEvolution trouble"). It's
  28. a bit noisy, though, but SysInfo tells me I get somewhat like 1
  29. Mb/s on a stock A500 with a MultiEvolution and 2 Mb fast RAM. The
  30. 500 really is the bottleneck here.

  38. Mine also, though I didn't speficically buy that Conner, but merely
  39. a 1 Gb drive for 550 Dutch guilders (say about $340). A few weeks
  40. earlier it still costed 600 guilders and a few weeks later 500
  41. guilders on a fair ($310).

  43. The only thing is controllers (they are still expensive for an
  44. Amiga) but hard disks are getting blood cheap, especially if you
  45. buy an older type like this Conner CFP1080S (it no longer appears
  46. on the Conner site, while it still did in January).
